WEN is partnering with the Friends of the Mississippi River for a seed spreading event on Thursday, May 14th from 6pm to 8pm at Orvin "Ole" Olson Park in North Minneapolis. The park is home to a surprising variety of landscapes, including riverfront shoreline, woodland terrace and now, thanks to FMR's volunteers and supporters, a restored prairie. A recent trail extension project created some bare ground within the park, and revegetation is needed.
All are welcome, but capacity is limited and registration is required. As always, all tools and training will be provided, and volunteers are encouraged to work at their own pace and comfort level.
